This month, House of Fraser stores throughout the UK will be hosting “Cover Story”, an exciting collaboration with glossy magazines Vogue, G/amour, Easy Living, House & Garden and GQ. The event is taking place, from 6.30-9pm, at House of Fraser in Birmingham on April 5; at Fraser’s in Glasgow on April 6; and at House of Fraser on London’s Oxford Street on April 7. Come along for fashion shows, make-overs, product sampling and more. There’s also a prize drawoffering the chance to win £500 worth of vouchers, and subscriptions to the above magazines. Ticket holders will also get up to 20 per cent off purchases and 10 per cent off cosmetics and fragrances in store on the night. Refreshments are provided by Martin Miller’s Gin, Blavod Pure Black vodka, Cobra Beer, Campo Paraiso wine, j + juice and Ty Nant water.

Paul Smith is to open a new store in his hometown of Nottingham. The British designer has bought a Grade II listed Georgian building that is in keeping with his London stores and perfectly cla suited to the quirky nature of his designs.
